been watching this guy on and off, interesting mod he did for the landrover with fooling the electronics to always have the SUV at full height.
didn't realize he picked up a Tacoma, wonder when the 1 ton axle gets put in

The connecting piece for my Dobinson snorkle was flexible.

We'll see this weekend if I have some time to try it out. Just hoping I don't have to cut the body... thanks

Soooo you're putting a snorkel on for purely aesthetics then?

unless i'm missing something... but don't 90% of after market snorkels require you to use a HOLE SAW though the fender?
    Regardless of vehicle?

Oh let me clarify, sorry, yes fender no worries there I was talking about the structure behind the body. Since the part I have is not flexible I might have to make some room to get it in there. Also there is a rubber hose missing :frusty:

Some unicorn riding virgin secretions have showed up.

Maybe this will get rid of the cold weather cold drivetrain zzzzzt, going in and out of 4lo.

Did you put straight 75W90 in your transfer case by mistake?

factory oil. first noticed happening last winter around 50k. 4hi never a problem, only when the drivetrain is still cold in below 5C weather it happens.

Yeah Nate does a lot of interesting fabrication - cut up a Dana 60 and rewelded it with the diff on the passenger side. @Windigo the Land Rover Discovery transfer case is passenger drop if you're academically interested. "Academically" because the rear driveshaft output is also passenger-drop...

Good luck! If problem persists after the fluid change, just take it in for warranty diagnostic.

Redline MT-LV is a good alternative if availability ever becomes an issue for the Toyota LF unicorn secretion.

Lol just noticed they sell surplus weapons crates complete with US DOD markings: https://www.princessauto.com/en/38-in-wood-ammo-box/product/PA0008863375

This is how they supply rocket launchers to insurgent groups in movies right?

planning on doing stuff to the backrack... but does anyone have a set of Rotopax fuel/water cans? i want to do a dry fit to see if it's worth it or not.
I might have one of the few case scenarios that these overpriced monstrosities might be worth my while for outside storage just because how thin they are (3-4" wide compared to the 6" wide cans i already have)....

Was thinking about the day trip i did to see about setting up what i have/ need for lengthy trips. Granted fuel isn't a huge priority, but i found my water storage to be questionable at best (it sits in a box with my stove and other cooking stuff). it works how i have it for now and worked just fine at Ardbeg but could be better and figured to play with the idea a bit. Because everything is an idea and i cross too many damned ideas.

Also toyed with the idea of running a 4" ABS pipe at the bottom of the backrack to work as a water storage, and for the price vs volume....

The ABS is a good idea, you can pressurize it and it can be a shower as well.

    i was considering doing this;
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9_t4FG6Aqg
but going side to side on the outside; 4inch ABS at about 4 feet long - I'd be looking at spending nearly $70 for 10liters of water (add in about $20 for the fittings and the adhesives, plus a mounting method, which 2 metal straps would be more than enough) The gripper would make life easier to clean the barrel out and running my tire pump to pressurize the system would be really nice.
    upload_2021-1-21_15-58-30.jpg

1 of the rotopax would be about (using 4wheelparts) $70 for 7.5 liters of storage (granted i would not be able to pressurize it) but would be able to remove it and use for dishes/ drinking water or swap the water storage for fuel storage.

or i can do both since i should have the room to do both.

Heck might not even need to pressurize it with an air pump since i have 12v at the 7pin connector that i built for the truck, i could just get a new 7-pin terminal hot-swap in a little aquarium water pump or something and i have running water without the need to pressurize it. Just pop the cap of the T fitting and i'm done
    :cookiemonster:

Actually these things exist and they are awesome up at the cottage.
    https://www.amazon.ca/YOMYM-Dispens...words=Water+Bottle+Pump&qid=1611263992&sr=8-5

but yeah, because of the cost of materials, that's sort of why i've put the rotopax in scope (but mostly the mounting method and the depth of the container since i don't have a huge amount of room between the backrack and the RTT

With some T's and elbows you could make a 3 row of tubes up the back of the rack. assuming 4" pipe and 48"wide on the straights thats about 36L(9.5gal) of water.
