I know someone has done the research on which well-rated babyseats fit in the backseat of the 3rd Gen double cabs. I would think many fit in the center seat with the clearance from the center console, but would like to be steered in the right direction. Appreciate the help as always.

This the most heart warming proud fatherly question anyone has asked around here.

    Congrats on having a baby!

Pretty sure bungee cords are known to state of California to cause cancer. Probably most baby car seats also. Hmm, I bet they would even say a new born baby is known to cause cancer at this point... gotta love it.

Chico Keyfit 30 rear facing fits in the center. I am 6’ and wife is 5’9 if that helps at all!

Chico keyfit 30 works very well for me.
It is one of top reviewed, smallest footprint carseats available.
So far 5 daughters and one 5 month old baby boy. I am pretty good at the whole Dad and car seat thing.

The best feature of the keyfit 30 is ease of installation. If you buy it first, you will never know the giant pain in the butt the other carseats are to install.
If you buy it later, then you will love it even more.
It fits perfect in the middle using the two outer seats inner latch anchors. The base is in and out in under a minute.
We have one base in the tacoma, one base in the oddessy.
I wish I had bought chico for all the other kids but I didn't know they were that much easier.
    18 years experience dadding.

    A bunch of shit...
Chico for me too. Fit just fine. My wife got a bit cramped in the passenger seat the few times all 4 of us were in the truck, but it didn't happen often.

IMO the best fitting carseat for the tiny Tacoma Cabs.

From my experience i could get a Graco 4ever seat to fit rear facing but not forward facing
I could get a Diono 3XRT to fit forward facing but not rear facing

All car seats are pretty much the same. There's standards for size, safety, etc. Its not like there's huge differences in size

Doesn't really matter, their legs are going to get longer pretty soon anyway. Everything is cramped until they're old enough to face forward..
