Demand is high so they won't budge much on the price, if at all. I guess the rationale for dealers is "why should we waste our time ordering a vehicle for someone, especially at a discount, when the next guy will come in and pay a premium for a truck that's already on the lot/on the way."

I had to go to several differant dealerships in person and emailed a bunch of them to see what they can do price wise, and the majority of them wanted to sell me something in the lot. If you do manage to get a discount on a 'order', then good. But I imagine most people aren't getting a significant discount on an ordered truck.

I won't be paying MSRP for mine. I work at the Toyota plant here in Georgetown (we build Camrys, Avalons, Rav4s, and the Lexus GS350), and they give us a pretty nice discount.

Was originally told (3) months in December that number went to (6) months a few weeks after. Found the same truck sitting on the lot at a dealer (2) hours away for a little more money so I went a head and bought it. Couldn't be happier!

Lol thanks Julia! I’m stoked that things also worked itself out with your whole situation! If I didn’t live all the way up in Canada, I’d definitely get some dates/fruits from you!

I’ve been waiting since September [started my search in April/May] for this spec and only now it’s beginning to seem like a reality LOL been staring at parts for far too long.

Post some pics when you get it.

My ACLB is the bottom spec model. Always excites me to see a ACLB that is decked out like yours. If I didn't need more space, I would get the truck you got! On 2017 I wanted cement so bad, but ended up with the silver SR. So for me its a 4 year wait for cement.

You waited a long time. Good things come to those who wait (not sure if its true, but I repeat it often :D). but the waiting is SO hard!

Ordered a Cement DCSB Offroad with premium and advanced tech packages on 12/14. Today (required me reaching out to the sales manager) I got a VIN and a build date of 2/5. Should be pretty quick getting to the dealer here in San Diego since it is being built right across the border.

The wait was shorter than I anticipated.

Put a $1000 deposit for a Voodoo Blue Sport DCLB back in October at Palmer's Toyota in Mobile, AL and spent the last 3 months being dicked around and never got one single update. I understand production was disrupted from Covid but I never got a production date, VIN, etc. Sent multiple emails, texts, calls...always said they would ask their manager and not once did they ever get back to me. Took me a week to finally get through to someone and get my deposit back and that was a completely separate battle. I ended up being so fed up with the process that I bought a truck from Koons Westminster outside of Baltimore and I'm on the flight to pick it up tomorrow and I'm going to drive it back to Florida. I highly suggest you all avoid Palmer's Toyota in Mobile, AL.

Fine choice! If I didn't have to haul a car seat around, the Voodoo blue ACLB would be the go to!

If you haven't put a deposit on it, I would do it now and tell them to mark it "sold." The fact that you have a VIN# is a good sign, as they probably have the right to sell the truck to you without another dealer trading for it. However, to lock it up I would give them a deposit and tell them to mark it "sold."
