Shockingly that particular tool hasn't been needed on this one! Every nut and bolt has come off without complaint, which is a miracle in itself.

Back on topic of shop time, I just got a nicely worded text from my boss. Apparently one of my coworkers did this to the bed of the drill press we haven't had for more than 30 hours. I don't think it will come as any surprise when I say it was the same one who struggled cutting the 1 1/4 steel. 302C2F77-6096-4DD4-86E6-7721C99A6613.jpg

Yeah it really is. I got lucky dragging this out of it's 30 year hibernation in a barn.

Good luck. My dad has recently done a midget and an mgb, nothing I’d want to tackle, but I did paint the B for him.

Myself and a few other friends helped my roommate restore a '64 Austin Healey sprite, which is nearly the same car as the midget. After that the natural progression was for me to get one so we could cruise in style to car shows and autocross. I'm actually gifting the midget partially to my folks as an anniversary present this year.

Thanks! It took us one year to the day. I remember when he was looking at buying it, he asked myself and others if it was a good idea. We told him no, but that it would be awesome and we'd help him get it done.

A friend of mine buys and sells corvettes, he found a split window here in NC that hadn’t been moved in 20 years. He had to give $50,000 for it. He took it home, got it running and made a lot of money on it. I figured he would have kept it a little longer but it’s all about the hunt to him.
