LOL. That photo is a bit over played now anyway.

 

I almost posted one with him sitting on the infamous black couch. Noticed something was amiss and thought better of it. But you got the visual now so that's all that counts.

 

How does a photo/meme of a senator break any rules?.... It's not engaging in political discussion only parodying a public figure...

 

There's a large number of people who are truly offended by any number of things. They're probably pretty quick on the "report" button. Then there's another set of people who, likely lacking any other sense of importance or meaning in their lives, stamp out a tin badge, pin it to their chest, and actively go looking for someone to step out of line so that they can report them to (insert authority figure here). Rather than accept personal responsibility and exercise control over their own lives, it's easier, and more palatable to some people to attempt to control other people. Mods, in the face of all this grade-school foolishness, have to choose between letting the place devolve into another Reddit, or react to these reports and "disappear" the detritus.

 

You are right there is no middle ground to be found....

 

Though I hear you on this, the Marty ban is the one that I don't agree with.... especially 30 days. Marty is a good contributor to the forum. He posted a photo of photoshopped old man sitting utop recent tile work he completed for a clients renovation. Nothing political about it.

Jake is/always rides the line. He was the example in this case, and likely rightfully so.

 

And I'm not advocating a ban on anyone for anything. A ban is only slightly less stupid than the ignore button.

All I'm saying is that, if you're unhappy with the ban, the blame would be more accurately placed with whoever the child was that hit the report button.

 

Why would anyone think it’s best to take money away from an appreciating asset and put it all on a depreciating asset with a 2.29% interest rate...

 

they never taught personal finance in school which is a shortcoming in my opinion but hey, atleast I know how to multiply matrices

I am an asshat sometimes but to be honest, we are a bunch of men kicking tires and shooting the shit on a forum about trucks and manly stuff. We should be able to handle a little satire and shit talking.

I am tired of everything having to be so PC... this isn’t a MyLittlePony forum.

If the mods really wanna ban people, imo they should ban the Jerry’s making the same posts over and over without doing their own diligence first by searching to see if the question has already been asked a million times.

 

Tbh - until @teamhypoxia pointed out the report button, I just assumed mods had some algorithm built into TW which notified them if anything political hit the forum. Didn't realize it was a simple as a button right there for all to use.

 

where is the ignore button? I only see report. I’ll try to use it and maybe it’ll allow me to not get annoyed at this site as much haha

I usually delete it every other week cause I get tired of seeing the same lift and tire posts
