First off those who say "it's not in the maintenance schedule it's not needed" need to be slapped, HARD.

One major factor in the maintenance schedule is "cost of ownership" over the years. To get that number lower that either stretch it farther than it should be for maximum life or flat out don't put it in the schedule.

Any engine, regardless of fuel injection design will have carbon build up anywhere after the crank case ventilation enters the intake system. Also most vehicles because the crank case is still moving gas pressure for a bit until engine cools after driving, will get some residue between the ports and the air filter.

Any engine should have the intake service done at intervals. 50k, 100k whatever is found to be where build up begins (not just thin residue). Intake valves themselves usual

    hey Tonered,

don’t think this is true. I called a few battery companies (including interstate) and the acceptable range for most AGM batts at idle state (truck off) is 12.6-12.9 volts. Charging should be 14.3-14.7 volts

Good stuff. My AGM were going off when starting to dip that low. I was dealing with smaller batteries though.
