I must say, that thread is worthless mods that you yourself have done to your truck. This thread doesn't have to be what you've done but what someone else has done that you don't understand why they would do that mod. Or it can be what you've done but generally you probably aren't going to do something to your truck that you don't see any value in doing.

Ditch lights, light bar on bumper, light bar in hood scoop, light bar on roof rack, lights in rear bumpers, puddle lights. All useless. I want one person to show me what they were doing late at night to justify all of these lights. A good set of fogs is all one needs.

Dont kid yourselves: almost every single mod you could possibly do to the truck is strictly for aesthetics and or posing. You putting dings in your armor and mud on your winch is a mere after-the-fact justification to prove to yourselves that you "needed" that stuff more than your mall crawler neighbor. :stirthepot:

If you don’t do “real” trails or serious “ off roading” you’re a poser? Lame that people think they get to decide other people are less deserving than them. Who cares if someone doesn’t want the truck they drive to be banged up. I think there is room for all types of owners out there.

I put a "cold air intake" on my truck and I will say the extra induction noise is nice for manual trucks plus I really like the sound. But I agree $400 is way too much, the $200 I spent seemed reasonable at the time.

When I was in Australia they had trucks with all sorts of lights pointing in every direction. They were used to shoot roos at night.

When most of the dingoes were killed off the roo population exploded. They were vermin like rabbits.

Want to see what an invasive species can do, read about rabbits in Australia.

My WHOLE truck is worthless upgrade

all I need is a sr5 DCLB. So a OR DCLB (while nice) is totally worthless (for me) :)

    yup I said it

A few (non-practical) useless mods I have... pro grille, blackout emblems, black rear bumper skins. None make the truck more useful, but they make me happy.

The above points out there are two types of mods. Ones that make “you” happy and ones that are useful to “you”.

The few I’ve made fit those criteria. If you don’t like what I’ve done, I’ll give you a nickel and you can call someone who cares.
