Will we see a Electric drive Tacoma? I am sure in a few years there will be one?
It seem the whole world is heading in the direction of electric vehicles...and the future of faster charging batteries will be found..

    I like the Rivian, Tesla’truck...
    Aloha
No longer gas bills ...just more electric bills.
Hawaii is the most expensive electricity ..approx 43 cents per kilo watts..average home electric bill is $200 -$300 per month..low and ..some homes closer to $500.00 ...come live in Hawaii...

We will see an electric truck from Toyota. Can't say if it will have a Tacoma badge on it, but electrics are coming.

At least with electric you can buy a solar panel and make your own.

    We'll have one in 2025 or 2026. I'll buy one in 2028.

Toyota has clearly stated that they don’t see fully electric as the future and aren’t going that route. They get hassled for it often because they’re smarter than the bandwagon idiots ha. No. You’ll never ever see an electric Tacoma from Toyota. One in a million at best.

That's cause you have to import your electricity from the mainland.

Multi-posting. Toyota believes hydrogen FCEVs are going to be the way forward. The thing you're looking at here is plug-in electric vehicles.

I'm sure it is a matter of time. I believe there may even be a rumor for a hybrid Tundra. Rivian is backed by Ford. GM also has the Hummer brand coming out as all electric. Dodge is sticking hellcat engines in everything. To the future!

That's also why most people supplement their electricity with solar. There are also a lot of windmills on the islands.

Yup, and I think they’re right. They won’t have a fully electric vehicle but it seems there’s a lot of confusion for most people between the various forms of hybrids. They have the best selling hybrid and many models with it and are heavily testing hydrogen for future sustainability. Hybrid and hydrogen are Toyota (and the world’s) future. Not fully electric.

Cargo ships, piled high with charged batteries arriving at Hawaiian ports, and ships carrying loads of empty batteries back to CA to be recharged. o_O

Hawaii has oil fuel electric plants , very few solars, and the wind mills...not many...
And one geothermal energy plant ...produces 1/4 of electricity of the Big island of Hawaii..

The local people here are afraid of geothermal ...there was a plan ...but environmentalists..wanted a environmental study..estimated cost (one Million dollars so it stop everything..
the people who support geothermal, mention cost from geothermal would be less than 5cents per kilo watts..
    Aloha

Nuclear is where it’s at. I don’t know why that word scares people ha.

They destroy how many acres of desert habitat and kill how many endangered species and animals and send how much trash to landfills in country and overseas just to power one on millionth of a city here and call it green haha real geniuses.

Nuclear is the only way electric vehicles will make sense......the power to run all these vehicles has to come from somewhere. Shifting from gas to existing powerplants does very little for emissions. They will just ramp up to provide the extra demand charging all those batteries will require.

I’m wondering we’re all the electricity supply is going to come from when California bans gas vehicle sales? Do they not already have a shortage in the summer?
