    Hi all,

Last night I was installing an ARB bumper on my 2000 taco. It required surprisingly minimal hardware. Didn't require any cutting, no drilling. Didn't need to use the cross bar piece either. Easy peasy. Too easy..... . I didn't even have to make the 10.5mm hole in the bottom of the frame (what is that hole for anyway?).

All I did was mount the large crush cans with the single bolt through the front and the 2 bolts on the bottom. Then I bolted the bumper onto those and finished up with the small plate that covers the gap on the bottom. Am I missing something?

LOL I know. I have the truck at a friend's house. I'll take pics when I go over there later today.

Kinda shitty pics. I said fuck it and installed it. The two oem bottom boots that hold the tow hooks/eyes and the one bolt that goes through the front of the frame are holding on the bumper braces/mounts. I see where there is a hole on the bottom of the frame where you should drill the 10.5mm hole through the Fram but there's no hole on top of the brace to put the bolt all the way through. I feel like the bumper is on there pretty good. I jumped up and down on it and pulled on it.

The holes on the bottom plate had to be enlarged a bit to get the bolts through them. The original holes didn't line up. I'll get pics of the bumper installed in a few days. Seems alright to me. :notsure:

I didn’t bother with drilling a hole on mine. There’s enough fasteners holding that on as is.

Yes I did find another post somewhere confirming I did it correctly. I mean, I can shake the truck by it, stand on it so I think its pretty secure now.

I'll post pics of it a little later
