I'm wondering what that lager snowblower cost regularly now? I may go look shortly.

This neighbor is a bit of oddity for sure. With a few piglets raised up every year, they root up all under along the fence, the only slightly annoyance.
Christmas before last, right after Christmas my sons wallet fell out of his pocket and the neighbors dog must have picked it up...my son wasn't aware he dropped it..the neighbor scavenged up over $500.00 that was spread out all over the yard and returned it.
I appreciate his honesty and I'll take a neighbor like that any day.

@Fargo Taco did you get you some breakfast yet? I'm picturing some of those scrambled eggs and bacon of some motels...never the best but nice when included with the stay.

I always say buy bigger than what you need. more is always better.

They work easier for given amount of snow.

My street is in a wet area.
I get more than other areas
    It’s heavier
    Dead end street.
So a min of a 10 hp for my area.
I see others on the street with smaller units and they really struggle.

    0E45AECC-7DCC-475B-9746-B01CCCB7AA96.jpg

    Definitely a two stage minimum

I was looking at a Troy Built a month or so ago. It was sale priced and another shopper mentioned that was the lowest price he'd ever seen on that particular machine.
8x out of 10, maybe 9x the single stage works for me and I just like the portability of it. The neighbor has helped me out a few times over the years.20210116_083319.jpg

I’m not one to be relying or hoping help from others. everybody’s situation is different.
I consider the single stage a fancy shovel.
    But, that’s me.

I've got an Ariens 28 Deluxe. About 12 years old. Starts on 1st or 2nd pull. I just don't us the electric start. Runs great but in some areas it doesn't throw the snow far enough, got big area in front of garage. Last fall I got a 4wheeler and have plow for it. Sure makes quick work of the driveway. Still use snowblower back behind the house.
