My truck is a 2014 double cab 4 door with 2.7 auto trans and the code says a/tm a01a and i want to regear for 265/70 r17's. I need to know if it is a 7.5 or 8 inch and exactly what the gear ratio is now. I jacked up truck and turned the tires 20 revs and the drive shaft turned about 35.75 turns. That should be a 3.57 ratio, right? A buddy helping me investigate this said he found that if the 3rd member has a bolt at the 12 oclock it is a 7.5 gears. If it has 1 at 11 and 1 at 1oclock it is an 8 inch rear end. I need accurate info to know what to order, so any help would be appreciated.thumbnail.jpg thumbnail12.jpg
