Show your 285/75/16 and 285/70/17

Here’s a couple of better pics... also, if anyone could chime in on air pressures? I’m running 35 cold per the load index charts but visually you can tell that you could decrease the air pressure to get more tread patch to the ground.. (I know about the chalk test haven’t got there yet) I read that on LT’s you don’t want to run them below 35 psi. Love to hear some opinion’s. Thank you

Damn, that looks gooood. Thanks for posting these side shots. Makes my decision between 1.5" or 2" lift in the rear that much more difficult

 

Hows the ride? I’m contemplating bumping up my 6112 to 6/5 to level out a bit. Currently I’m at 5/4 and the ride is good.

 

Thanks! Right now my 6112 still have not settled so it's close 3" and if I did not keep my overload leaf spring in it would sit completely leveled. But since I have the 1.5" aal and overload leaf spring in it gave me 2" of lift in the rear and its sitting half an inch higher in the rear right now compared to the front.

 

Yeah I noticed most people that went with 5/4 setting ended up always wanting to go higher afterwards. That's the reason why I chose the highest settings from the beginning. Right now it's hard to tell if the suspension or tires is changing the ride becuase it's much smoother than the oem bilstein. I never got to drive it with the oem wheels and tires with the lift.

But my 6112 are really suppose to settle to 2" so maybe in the future my truck will have more rake than pictured. No vibes right now.

 

Go to "88rotors tacoma" on youtube and see many combinations of suspension lifts, leveling kits, tires and wheels installed.

 

I want to run 285s next go around on tires but dont wanna rub. Currently have 5100s all around front set at 4th (1.5) setting/ 1.5 AAL in rear. Will likely rub with current setup right? what if I bump the front to the 5th (2inch) setting? Wheels are 17 inch with ZERO offset...Thanks

 

Do it! I initially bought 265/70/17 but I'm glad I went with the 285s because I think with a lift the 265s look too small. It also depends on which tires some run bigger and a good wheel alignment helps.

 

Just ordered 285s for the pro. Still got some life left in the current tires but couldn’t pass up the deal. Looking forward to bumping up to the 285s.

 

The deal you're talking about doesn't happen to be the $100 a tire Falken Wildpeaks from Pepboys? I barely found out about that price glitch.

 

Did a Toytec BOSS 2.0 lift with AAL, front about 2" as I wanted a positive rake still as I carry things in the bed all the time.

I get average 18.1 MPG with lift and tires, I went 158.6 miles this weekend to my dad's and got 21.2 MPG... I did not get that captured however I did get the 25.3 miles from the closest "town" to my house and it was 21 MPG.. (I do have pic)
