As a retired water treatment consultant/ Chem E. I assure you nothing is a bigger rip of than bottled water. It showcases the gullibility of the citizenry as no other example can.

Absolutely correct. Almost every "I'm new here" post has a Pro grille mod listed as the first item on the new owner's list. And as you said, raptor lights are usually a close second.

Be careful what you say though, some members get quite upset when you say something negative about their Pro grille mod.

There's actually 5 on the raptor, just like a HD pickup or dually's indicator and clearance lights. Ford just had to put 2 on the front fenders instead of the roof. The 3(indicator) says "I'm huge" the outer 2(clearance) say "how huge".

I dont think I've ever installed a mod or accessory on the truck to please anyone but myself. So far they continue to do that so they're all considered useful.

As for what others think, I dont really give a shit whether they consider them useful or not. I never installed anything to please them.

Even this makes me smile everytime I look down and see it, it also has a purpose.

It reminds me when my older Toyota trucks said TOYOTA on the steering wheel instead of that stupid sombrero that they all have now.

I've talked with several that said, if they had to do it over again they would not put a front leveling kit on because of the rough ride ? Personally, except for protection add-on item's like bug shield, mud flaps, running boards, skid plate I prefer the stock look which in a way can be different than most trucks you see now a days...

One of our favorite initiations with our summer intern program is to have them analyze their tap water and compare it against their favorite bottled brand. Sometimes we will even have them reverse engineer it in the lab with a quick pass through a charcoal filter or just a pinch of salt and/or lime to match the alkalinity (and taste). And yet still, half of our interns walk away still buying the bottled stuff. Weird. :notsure:

I think the whole chrome delete thing is a big waste. I happen to like all the chrome the truck comes with.

I didn't read the thread, but the most useless has to be the secure bed mat mod! Oh it's 80lbs also.

It's an active thread right now, join the fun

Actually those are bushwacker flares. If you're gonna clown someone, at least get your facts straight.

I see you got the NJ bimmer driver douche stereotype nailed. However you forgot my coin holder, mud flaps and a bunch of other stuff in your list there. :)

My brother is a Geotechnical Engineer who designs Water Treatment Facilities. He laughs every time he sees people drinking bottled water.

One of the best quotes I ever heard about bottled water came from a guy who worked for a local water authority.....something to the effect of, "Everyone is so concerned about water "quality" when there is a high probability that any water you drink was once dinosaur piss".......never forget it, almost fell off my chair laughing.
