Any idea on cost of a 2020 exhaust?

Hi All,

I want to sell my exhaust from my 2020 off-road. However, I am not sure what exactly to charge for it on my ad? Any advice?

NOTE: It's just the exhaust and not the piping or tip and only had like 500 miles on it.

 

Do you mean its just the muffler?

 

The cat converter included?

I know that crackheads go through the trouble of cutting them off cars so maybe try San Jose's Craigslist.

 

If your talking Cat Back. I couldn't sell it. Gave it to someone at my last yard sale with some stock suspension

 

Sorry, im dumb, it's not the "exhaust", its just the muffler. I swapped mine for a flowmaster 40 series.

 

Advertise it for 1/2 the replacement cost of the same unit.

Then be ready to accept much less.

Can't imagine there a many buyers looking for a used muffler.......

Muffler is probably worth $20 at most to someone who wants to replace their rusted out OEM with another OEM but I’d bet you’d be storing it for awhile unless you get lucky.

 

I sold my full OEM OR exhaust on Craigslist for $350. Took a while but it did eventually sell. You should be able to get atleast something for the muffler.

 

So maybe like $150?

 

Magnaflow Performance Muffler has a cost from Magnaflow around $100.

Suggest to price it at $50. Hope for the best.

I mean you can ask whatever you want,,, it's up to you on how long you want it laying around and putting up with shitheads. I've seen them local on FB for free.

 

Check what they are selling for brand new and go half of that. Be ready for low ball offers and be willing to take less that you originally wanted if you want to sell it fast. I sat on mine for a while but got what I was asking for.

 

Worth ... free or trash can .

 

Gift it to a muffler shop. Save yourself the Warehousing.....

You’re stock exhaust is a 1-piece catback like this:



If you replaced just the muffler, somebody had to cut out the stock one and then clamp or weld in a replacement.

Most people would just replace the whole catback as it is much easier than cutting/welding/clamping, especially if they’re keeping a stock setup.

 

Or buy a cheap aftermarket muffler, which is what the used OEM has compare to price wise but without excitement of more noise or free stickers. Hard sell. Been there done that. Garbage company took it eventually.

 

Yea I had the muffle swapped. So the shop just cut and then installed!

 

Nobody bought mine. I paid the garbage man to take it away. Haha.
