Can confirm. Dude got falcon punched by a backkicked 2x4 off a tablesaw in my shop class. Totally deserved it, but man that looked bad.

Finally upgraded from a homemade wooden back and sides on my 40 inch snap on box to a 41 inch husky top box
Its great having so much more room, not sure what tools I am gonna fill it with but Im sure I will figure it out.
I am hoping my snap on dealer can figure out how to make a snap on lock work for the top box, I already did it for my sunex roll cart, really nice only having one key to lock everything.
If anyone likes the top box this is it, its really nice, not snap on/mac quality but very good.
Honestly if snap on offered a top box with the same setup as the husky I would pay snap on prices.

Electromagnetic grinding pad is basically done. Just need to do some finishing work.

Wouldnt the magnet keep the shavings as you are grinding from being blown out the way, will a blow gun be enough to remove the shavings?

Thanks! Its a 350lb magnet I've tried pulling it up but I can't. As long as the piece is flat and makes solid contact with it its pretty much stuck.

Wasn't a harbor freight welder, it was an Everlast machine. The gas solenoid stopped working. I looked at the warranty and its one of those where you pay to send it over and they determine if they will fix it then you pay to have it sent back to you . I didn't like that so I replaced it. I had a $500 lowes gift card so I bought the Lincoln with a lowes warranty. So now if I have any issues I just take it down to lowes and get a new one. I'm going to fix the everlast and sell it.

    Any electricians?

I want to run 200 amp service to an external garage. Note I won't be doing the work, but want to know what I'm talking about when contacting an electrician.

Can I run 200 amp service as a subpanel off the main panel, can I run it off the meter on the side of the house, or should I run it off the pole.

I'm new to this, and like I said just want to have a little know how when talking to the electrician.

    none yet
Most homes max out at 200 amp service
If you need 200 amps just for this building you're looking at a second service from the pole

What he ^^^ said but having two meters is not a bad thing. I have a separate meter on my house and on my shop. 200 amp panel on each. The kilowatt charge is the same for each. If you ever go into business for yourself, the separate meter would make it easier to dedicate to the business for tax purposes.

That separate meter for business expenses is a great reason, plus I just talked to some people who’s opinion I trust he said go ahead and pay for it.

Out in the garage welding or cutting metal and accidentally overheating the panel in the house isn’t worth it, plus if I ever want to sell and inspector sees something done wrong the money saved isn’t worth it.

biggest reason to hire the meter install is liability. I’ll do the wiring inside, but let someone else handle pole to garage.

thanks everyone. I’ll get 3 quotes soon.
