I’ve just never ridden anything as far as dirt bikes go that big. I’ve always wanted more and I honestly think it made me ride a little better. I did ride a two stroke WR 250 that made me second guess my skills.

Coming from a 450 to a 250 two stroke isn’t a big stretch. Only thing you’re really giving up is torque but you’ll loose a lot of weight.

Lectrons arent without their issues and dont expect the jetting to be perfect either. Lots of people have to fiddle with them and change needles. Others not so much. Never had one but the mikuni does well if its jetted and it needs a jet block gasket replaced right away.
I somewhat wish i had picked up a 300xc to do moto with also. I really like the 2t handling better than the 4t. Its so easy to flick around.
Anymore its not physical weight thats different. Its just the rotational mass effect that makes it "feel" lighter

I have read a lot of people having success after replacing the jet block gasket with the JD gasket since it’s a slightly different shape and a harder material as they basically leak right away like you stated. Thought about trying this route also and possibly putting a JD jet kit in.

I spoke with lectron this morning though and I think I am going to give it a go and I guess I’ll report back in like 3-4 months when the snow is gone. They say for my spec I shouldn’t have to adjust anything but the idle. There are a lot of videos on adjusting the metering rod and such. Guess we will find out!

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Can’t beat that father/son experience right there.

My 10yo son recently went to "dirt bike camp", now I have a CRF on order for him. Haven't ridden dirt myself in several years, so of course I had to pick up something for myself to chase him around on..

And (the reason I find myself on this forum) I needed something to haul them around! My new Tacoma DCLB!

Can't wait for the kids bike to show up so we can go make some memories!

And the wheel is still round for a reason. No need to fix what’s not broken. A ramp and stand works great. I’ve seen 2 ramps but then you are carrying more crap around.

yeah, but i'd rather mousse or tubeliss than a tube in some tires.

light dirt bikes are easy to get up in with a single step, but it gets harder if you dont weigh as much or are putting in a heavier bike like a GS. dont have the driving force to push in off the stand.

you like your no-name alu ramp. rad - stick with what works for you.

anybody else have experience with that step-ramp, a 2 ramp system or other?

My latest acquisition: 2016 WR450F. Included: Yoshimura RS4 slip on, Cycra bark busters, aluminum skid plate, radiator guards, radiator braces, lowering link (removed), GYTR power tuner and GYTR PCM. All in great shape, all for $5000. Unbelievable deal! This is my first injected bike and it's remarkable, a massive difference in character. Super snappy and predictable. First e-start bike as well.
