Maybe Princess Auto will become the official overland gear supplier to TEC.

I will say the boxes are nice. You can strap them down by the handles and still open them. Also they stack very nicely as well. Can fit a few bottles of diff oil, jug of engine oil, brake fluid and a few other things in one case. I had the case standing up because the bottles leaked but the seal makes it pretty tight.

I go around the side of the box through the handles so I can still open it without unstrapping. Hate having to unstrap/move stuff to get to one item.

I don’t know if I’m anal or easily annoyed but it pisses me off when I have to move ten things to get to one. Especially if it’s something simple like a tool or kitchen utensil. Constantly reorganizing my garage to make it easier to get to stuff.

Detailing box? Like wax and stuff? carrying only the essentials! Lol love it.

I hate detailing cars. Some find it relaxing, but not me lol. @norlisk can speak to this.

    Condo life, no personal garage.
Truck is always clean, I'm asked how. I say, I don't let it get dirty.

My truck is always dirty, I'm asked how. I say, dont let keeping it clean get in the way of having fun.

My Dad bitches at me constantly about it never being clean, since I have free unlimited car washes for life at the dealership. :notsure:

Dealership carwashes are the equivalent of tree pinstriping anyhow, I'd rather drive a dirty car than take it there:fenforcer:

    EXACTLY!@

I tried to tell him this, but he would not listen.

Watching that teenager dip his washing rag in that bucket of mud and then scratch the truck is not my idea of fun.

I do this with two big boxes: https://www.princessauto.com/en/31-gallon-heavy-duty-storage-chest/product/PA0008425316

They're big enough to fit a chainsaw (mine's 40V electric, so it can't get rained on).

If anyone buys this, wait for it to be stocked at your local store and pick it up there. It won't survive shipping :bananadead:

    ummm .....ya.
I detail 2 vehicles I own and 1 of them ain't my truck. It used to be 3 when I owned this beast....IMG-20191007-WA0002.jpg

Between my High Country and My 65 it would take an entire weekend. Then I still had the wife's car to do.
Not that I don't wash the Tacoma, I just now have freed myself up all kinds of spare time and significantly lowered my stress level, reduced my blood pressure, increased my bank account and have completely puzzled most of my family.
I used to use 3 different wash buckets, a collection of sponges, brushes and microfiber wash mits. Then there was the twice annual clay bar, hand polish, jet glaze and paint sealant routine.
I still painstakingly detail the wife's car and my 65, but the beauty of both of them is they are white. Easy peasy.
Wash the Taco? Powerwasher, lawn chair and a couple 3 beers..sometimes my kid even does it for me. Thats where the lawn chair and beer comes in.

Can confirm. have one of those boxes for over 20 years now and the hinges are brittle asf... Pick one up in person. Mine stays in the back against the wall holding onto whatever scrap i decide to throw in there (spare axe, torque wrench, a few tow straps. Gives me enough room in the side for a small 20L gascan.IMG_20201121_193511323.jpg
the princess Auto 500round ammo box is just bungied to the side of the bed. lets me access whatever i want in there but also snaps shut.

I think I would prefer the Plano sportsman trunk, it's a bit bigger but would survive falling off a cliff
