I've been working from home for almost a year now.
I've noticed a change with the people I work with.

I send an email or questions to my superiors and it takes them FOREVER to respond. Even then it's like:
Me: So what do you think about this and that?
Response: Oh that....I don't know......what do you think?

What do I think? What I think is what the fuck do they pay you for?

Just seems like a high level of "don't give a fuck, and don't interrupt my Netflix time"

Rule number 1 with having a boss, never go to them with problems, go to them with a couple solutions to the problem you are experiencing and let them decide on the one they want you to implement. It's the one common denominator in every situation I have had success and every employee I have had that got more responsibility and promoted.

No one knows the issue you are seeing better than you, other peoples solutions tend to not be as good anyways.

That's exactly what I do. My issue is these people are just MIA anymore, and honestly it's not cool and it's affecting many people in a negative way.
    They don't give a shit
Then my co workers don't give a shit
then the people below me don't give a shit.

It's this big, I don't need to be at the office, so no one is around to hold me accountable kind of vibe.

As they say..shit rolls down hill.

    It's not just you.

We're outside financial consultants. The productivity rates across the board in nearly every industry we touch are suffering.

The upside and what you'll be interested in..............start up's are at record highs by folks that have been employees in their industries for years, have the contacts and see the opportunities left by what you"re describing. Money's cheap by historic standards.

People have a lot going on. I know I do. I want to be more productive but with my kids (5 and 7 yrs old) doing virtual learning, it’s nearly impossible. I have to spend at least 3hrs/day helping with school stuff. More time making them food and keeping them from killing each other or destroying the house.
