So I've put off replacing my front UCA and LCA bushings/balljoints for the past year and a half or so because of the obvious reason of it being a major pain, but I finally got around to it this winter. The bushings were so worn and needed to be replaced anyways, but also according to a Toyota dealership mechanic, the worn bushings were the leading reason why my front suspension was so squeaky/clangy going over any bumps in the terrain. After finishing the job the ride was noticeably stiffer/smoother with the new suspension parts, but the squeaky front end still remained every time I drove off my driveway. It was considerably quieter than before so I brushed it off at first, but after everyday that passed it grew louder and louder until it was virtually the same as it was before with the old suspension parts. I'm not sure why it's happening, I preloaded the suspension before torquing everything down and even shot some grease on any metal-metal contact points. The weird thing is that while it had just rained for the past 3-4 days and everything was wet, the squeaking completely disappeared. I read another forum post on something similar happening to someone when it rained and on that post it ended up being his radiator mounts that were causing the issue. His truck was a 3rd gen though so I'm not sure if the same issue pertains to 2nd gen trucks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
