I need the expert opinion of TacomaWorld.

A couple months ago I ditched my RCI bed rack in favor of some bed bars from Front Runner. I ordered my roof rack from them and wanted to stick with same system and trim some weight. I’ve noticed that my iKamper Mini moves / vibrates a little more than with the RCI rack.

For those that don’t know the Front Runner attaches directly to the rails and doesn’t rest on the side of the bed. I emailed Front Runner and they assured me I was fine with this setup. There are also a couple YouTubers that have the same system.

I ordered some bed stiffeners but was curious if there were any other suggestion. Or am I overthinking it?

Is the ikamper moving/vibrating on the bars or are the bars vibrating/moving on the track system?

Looking between the two I would expect the Front runner bars to cause more vibration and movement as the RCI rack is significantly more robust. RCI has a better mounting system as is a fully boxed frame vs a single flange

I think it’s the iKamper moving on the bars. When the truck is parked and I push on the tent it just moves the whole truck.
