Quick story....
I went to the tattoo givin place yesterdee (I really did)...luckily, a gal I work with happened to be there and asked what the hell I was doing there . I was like, just price checking a tattoo...she was like, you dumb mf'er, you don't price check tattoos (how the hell was I suppose to know, I'm a tattoo virgin). She said some crap about the guy being an artist or something. I was like, the dude writes on people's bodies for a living, we actually do work at the ice cream joint.
Anyhow, he said $150 for 3 letters (2 colors) roughly 4" long. I was like, ahh...that's reasonable; then I turned and looked at that gal and gave her the ol' .
I may try to low-ball him Friday.

This is the best I could find outside Japan...

 

I think they ship osaka-ya down your way. They're a mochi shop up in Sac, but I know they at least supply the bay areas stores. Highly highly recommend them.
