What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Finally upgraded my speakers n head unit. While I had the door apart, switched my red mirror covers to black and added spotter mirrors.

I cant be the first to come up with this, but have yet to see it on here, so here' goes.

I made these little clamp on mounts for lightweight stuff (the shovel pictured is all aluminum and insanely light). Cut a couple pieces of PVC LENGTHWISE, drilled a hole and countersunk the inside to accept the screw head. Mounted the quick fist, and snapped onto the softopper frame. Frame won't fold while installed but they just pop off with some force.

 

Finally got the rest of the front end taken care of looks much better, thanks @HomerTaco

 

I also test fitted my new trash set up. Not that the Trasharoo isn't cool and all, but @ $50....meh. Ordered this $15 Italian Military rucksack (shipped from Finland, go figure). Works like a charm. Plus it has a chain inside to lock it closed. MAY keep out a racoon, but not a bear.

 

Threw some paint on my dry, dusky frame. I need some new splash guards

 

No more window suction cup.

I seen a video of a guy cutting up a factory e-locker and he add a cable to convert to a cable locker looked really good. But does any one know if a company sells a kit. His was homemade

Ok, I got the flares back from the paint shop and took some measurements against the factory flares. I did my best to take the measurements from the same spots from flare to flare. Preliminary things look like the flares will cover for wider tires, but I do not know anything about taller yet or not...but I doubt it.

The paint is still really soft so they will not be getting mounted for another week or so. Please stay tuned.

Thank you for this. So how it looks from the pictures......about an inch overall more coverage for wider tires and more negative offset wheels......I am correct in that assumption?

 

I reversed the bolts, put large ones in the top, worked much better. The top cap worked better on top of the New insert... As it should have, thanks TW team!
