25 was a good age, old enough to know better but did it anyway
35 I mellowed enough to not do those things, even 30 but that wasn't an option....

well for all you working "Whats" out there it's FRIDAY, which still has some meaning for those of you still working for the man.

I'll admit that I picked 45 for my age. By then I was "mature" enough not to be stupid anymore, and physically at my prime. I could ride a bicycle 50-70 miles in a day, and was bench pressing 280 lbs, which I thought was decent for a middle aged dude like myself. Was married for a few more months, and had 2 young daughters. Had just lost my good paying job, but I was upbeat about things. Boy was I in for a surprise. In just a few short months, everything changed in the blink of an eye. One thing I can honestly say, life is full of ups and downs, and throws you a curve ball every now and then.

I hope everyone out there in TW has a great weekend.

I pondered if what age we would choose might be reflected or influenced by what age we are now. I will be 54 this year but at say 65 or more then 45 might seem good:notsure: 280lb bench press...highest I ever got was 200:benchpress:

well as for overall strength, I peaked out at 52. I was working out with 3 or 4 young guys in their mid twenties. Finally reached my goal of bench pressing 300 lbs. Shocked the shit out of me and them. They just couldn't figure out how an old man could out bench press all of them but one. Jujitsu junky pressing about 325. I learned one valuable lesson from him If you run across some drunk dick head with a cauliflower ear, walk away. That fucked up ear is a sign of battle scars, and dudes that go looking for trouble.
