    Hello everyone,
Recently a friend sold me his retrofits for my Tacoma (2010) I got the control harness and everything installed and working. However what I am still trying to figure out is the halos. At first I figure it was red to red and black to black but in the box I had these little cylinder harnesses that plug into the halos.

What I'm not sure of is what goes where. The cylinders which are 2nd gen voltage regulators from what I gather have a red and black wire with a plug on one side and a black, white and yellow wire on the other. I assume that black is ground, white is positive and yellow would tap into the turn signal?

Because these are older I'm having a hard time getting a definitive answer. I also am not %100 sure exactly what halos they are I'm just going by what the tags say.

My friend had them hooked up to a switch.

Ideally I want the halos to work in conjunction with my DRL but not act as turn signals, if thats possible. I have relays and connectors and splices I just don't know how to go about that and since I don't want to kill the halos I'd rather ask first. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

I'm not familiar with the wiring of 2010 Tacoma's, but have wired a few halos on a my 2020. Looks like old morimoto halos based on the tag. The "cylinder" appears to be the led driver. So the red and black should connect to to the halos, plug & play. The three wires on the other side of the driver should connect in the following:

    Black: ground
    White: 12v power
    Yellow: turn signal

You would just need to connect the ground and the white wire if you want them as DRLs, but not turn signals. The easiest thing to do is find an ignition on fuse, use an add-a-fuse and wire the white halo wire to that. They would then be on whenever the truck is on and turn off when the truck is off.
