I think it was one of those things that the internet said you ‘needed’ that turned out to be a disaster..

Lucky for me my modifications are based on what I want/need and common sense rather than what the IG crowd is doing. It's much easier this way.

I agree completely. That is the way to do it. What do you use your vehicle for and what do you want to make it better/more comfortable/more capable? Wheel a lot? Lift armor etc. Camp a lot? tent fridge whatever.

Seeing posts about people asking what must do mods are there? If you don’t know what to do next to your truck... then fucking use it and figure out what you need.

Also can’t stand these perfect shiny clearly unused but fully decked out IG rigs with all the same mods, perpetually ready for a three week journey across the outback. Why? Why buy shit you don’t need? Why deck out a vehicle you clearly only use for two mild dirt road camping trips a year? I mean seriously.

    End rant.

Yep. I add things to my truck when I find a need for them. I’d rather spend money on fuel than worthless mods I won’t use anyway.

should have put all that money I saved into GameStop..

    No shit....

There are a few things I've had planned for quite some time, based on my uses. Other stuff that everyone's goes ape about "bruh you need 3 of these" and crap just pisses me off. Esp when new people are just saying hi. I'll always tell them look, your stock truck is badass. Put a $10 diff breather on it and go from there. Lol

I'm just glad I have mostly spent money on functional modifications so far. There are a lot of things that look cool At the mall crawler shows, but seem unnecessary and probably suck to drive around with. I am now trying to put as much inside the truck as possible, and keeping the heavier items low and between the axles when possible.

That said, I know I don't "need" 295 MT's. But, I do believe I'll get my money's worth out of them.

Looks like someone is enjoying the weekend already!

What tires are those? They look like Michelins in that picture.

That's what I was thinking. Weird that they put such good tires on the Tundra and crappy Dunlops on the 4Runner.

They're the Michelin LTX AT2. The TRD Offroad and the Trail Edition come with them stock.

They are definitely some of the better stock tires from Toyota but that bar isn’t set very high

I swapped mine to falkens and sold the factory ones for like $500

Don’t think I posted it up the work done on the wife’s T4R. 3-2 lift with 285 wildpeaks.
Debating on wheels? I kind of like this look and thinking sliders For it instead.

Or in some cases, allow you to even be considered for a job, even though a degree has nothing to do with the job.
