My 500lb springs are in constant frame contact with my long bed topper, a plastic tote with some recovery gear and misc (60lbs). I’d guess I have about 250-300lbs added weight all the time. The 612 versions that were redesigned for third gen are shorter than the 610s originally marketed for the third gen but were for gen 2. Those were taller and giving people 3/4” of lift. They are not supposed to contact the frame until a load is on the bed, but the weight of a cap is around 180-220lbs so in that case they are probably going to be touching the frame. It lifted my back end up 1/2” since I out those on after topper install. Also have bed stiffeners from Cali Raised.

Correct. My 612s have about 1/2-3/4” space from the frame when the truck is unloaded, so normal driving offers literally the same ride as stock.

I just added the 500-lb sumo springs a few weeks ago too. I have an ARE cap and the frame just starts contacting the springs with no other load in the bed. Ride is slightly stiffer than stock but, like others have said, the body roll feels more controlled. I need to load it up and see how they ha for more weight but I like them a lot so far

Anyone here that installed the sumos also have an aal (with new u bolts)? If so does the replacement ubolts sit flat on your sumo bracket or was there a gap? If no gap what brand ubolt did you use?
