Doing the math (estimate) in my head with 3/4” current thread exposed that would only leave maybe 1/8” exposed threads with reusing stock bolts. I don’t think that’s acceptable. I appreciate your reply back!

Edit: so you kept your overload sling installed too? I was going to remove mine so I’ll find out tomorrow I guess

Yes, overload still in. The setup was done professionally by a spring shop and I guess they were OK with the 1/8" showing.

One idea suggested to me by sumo (after I had the extra leaf in) was to preload the sump springs with spacer plates under the sump spring (replace the mounting bolt in the sump spring) This will take up the compression before it's at its rated capacity. Good option can add the plates when needed, remove when not use towing trailer in my case.

Not sure I follow the second part. My main concern currently is that the replacement ubolts that was included in the 3leaf aal does not sit completely flat on the sumo spring bracket (only contacts edge near the 90 degree bend). I’d reuse the stock if I had 3/8-1/2” exposed thread after but I don’t think that’s the case. It seems the replacement ubolts are slightly narrower than stock because most people that I asked about their sumo is they reuse stock bolts. I’m ultimately trying to find a extended u bolt that will sit completely flat on the sumos

I would check with a spring shop if you have one close by. I'm sure you could get a slightly wider u bolt if that's the issue.
Besides that if everything is tight and the nothing is moving around, I don't think you need to worry. The unbolt is really there so the differential doesn't move off the center pin in the spring.
