Is there a market for used tail lights?

I switched out the tail lights on my 2021 SR 5. Is there a market for the factory lights ?

 

Sure, anyone who has accidentally backed into a parking garage pillar, or a large immovable trash can, or otherwise broken one and checked with the dealer on the new price would likely be interested. There has to be literally a dozen folks out there right now that needs one. Of course, you would need to find them, and offer a great price including shipping, package the one the need, and ship it. Then, you sit back and wait till the next person discovers you and backed into something on the other side. Save the packaging for the new ones you switched to. And good luck.

I actually bought a pair of used 2nd gen tail lights to keep as backups, just in case of trail damage on mine. So yes is the answer haha

 

I know a lot of people dont like the new 2020 tailights that have chrome. I traded mine out for a 2018 TRD OR pair. Cant seem to sell my stock ones for just $75 for the pair either

 

The 20+ chrome lights are ugly and I wouldn't buy them. If I broke one I would buy a different set. Fortunately my 19 has decent looking tail lights already.

 

I'd post them on your local craigslist, there's definitely a market since owners break them out all the time. Check ebay for oem lights to get a price reference. On CL ask for them to leave their cell number and work over the phone, a lot of email scams on there, as you could imagine, but a huge local market and buyers will pick them up and pay cash.

Forgot to add, they'll fit 2016-2021 Tacomas as you probably know.

 

I've been looking for replacements tail lights. Prices seem to be all over the place? Do they very in quality? Any recommendations?
I don't want the chrome ones.
