Franz Toilet Paper Filter

    Has anybody used the Franz filter system on the it Toyota if so how did it work?
    I have one on my Cummings with over 600K, put it on after warranty was up never had a total oil change since 50K it even looks clean

    Unfortunately, you’ll be getting a bit of TW hate on this subject. I’ve seen a few threads about bypass filters turn into a dumpster fire. I hope this one goes better.

    FWIW, I had a Frantz on my 96 Cummins and it worked very well. Didn’t put one on the Tacoma (yet). If I did, I’d go with a cartridge bypass instead of the Frantz as it was a bit messy changing the media.

    Yes it can be messy but changing 3 gallons of oil and filter each change can get pricey
    I have had the oil analyzed several times with better than new oil results
    The thing that amazes me is the oil looks clean not that black paint color
