So I’m not mechanically inclined one bit—took my 6 month old truck to Toyota 4 times now. Last time I was told that there were vehicle “re-designs” this year and that the vibrations n shaking is normal. I was told Toyota adopted Lexus’ port injection and it causes these issues ...I find NOTHING saying that for 2020..I see it for earlier models. I’ve had the ‘04, ‘06, ‘15, and now ‘20–never again if this is truly the “new” Tacoma. All previous have rode like a dream

Could you better describe what you mean by bad vibrations and shaking? Do you feel it in the steering wheel, the whole truck, the front tires or what? Does it do it at certain speeds? I’m curious, haven’t heard of this before. If it’s really noticeable I don’t see how they can justify it and not provide a fix. I suggest contacting Toyota corporate. Phone: 800-331-4331

It’s the whole truck—you feel it on your back, butt, legs, in the steering wheel, if no passenger in front seat you visibly see the seat shaking. All my other tacos have been smooth rides...service says they tested with a thing that does a readout and they did 2 drives on sane road with my taco and two rides same road with a “like model”. All read outs say normal they said. Advised me it’s cuz Toyota switched to a port injector and something about cleaning carb dust out while stopped at lights And they adopted a thing from Lexus. Tech told me he wrote the two page service write up cuz he was told it may be a “buy back” and I asked wth that is at me was told by tech it’s when “”your lawyers fight our in Jacksonville, fl”. .... I just don’t understand —ty I’ll call corporate

I've been battling a similar vibration for the last year. I thought it started when I put new wheels and tires on, but 3 sets of tires, 3 sets of wheels, and 5 different shops with who knows how many balances later and I still have a constant vibration in the seat above 60mph. Think I've ruled out tires/wheels at this point. I'm curious to hear what you find out. Mine is a 2017 with 112,000 miles so unfortunately dealership diagnosis is a rather expensive option for me.
