Lol bkxc is pretty much a roadie with a mountain bike. Dudes travelled the world, ridden more trails than most people thought were out there, and doesn't work on his own bike. If him and I were in pink bike academy, he would get kicked out before me.

Check out tagg along mtb. The guy rides for gg now I think. He did a video on an alchemy bike a year or two ago. He shreds

Got the maiden voyage in yesterday. Conditions were great and so was the bike. Need to make some minor adjustments now that I’ve done a real ride.

Don’t resist. Just do it! It’s also a lifetime shock in a sense, they’ll retune it for another bike if you switch. Aside from that’s, it really is fantastic.

As for your current issue; take it all out, lube the pivot points and any parts that rotate on the bolt (not the upper trunnion), dab some blue Loctite on the threads, torque to spec.

Revel is awesome. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second. The Pivot is also a killer bike, and would hold good resale.
As mentioned before, just because you can’t get it online, doesn’t mean you can’t get it. Shops may have them in stock.

Yup having second thoughts on the Alchemy. Great value but I don't see much about it online and I'm worried about resale value.

If I end up with something new this year I'll let you know perhaps I can do a guest post on your site if you need some content!

Any idea how much I should be asking for the Django? 2019 Carbon GX version, 175mm 2021 Fox Transfer, always super well maintained and in 8/10 condition.

Update on by truck bed bike lock setup. Goal was to have something that a thief with basic hand tools or bolt cutters couldn't defeat. Just want to feel ok leaving it in the parking lot at a brewery or something for an hour. I decided I wanted some sort of solid anchor (ground anchor) and a big chain.

Here's what I bought: Chain Ground Anchor Lock

Decided I wanted the ground anchor on the bed side. With the composite bed I also made a steel backing plate from some scrap 1/8" steel. Location makes it hard to get to the back fasteners to attempt removal. Used the ground anchor bolts, got some tamper resistant twist off nuts that just leave a dome and are quite hard to remove without a plan. Lock nuts to keep everything from vibrating loose. Ball bearings driven in to the hex head on the bolts to prevent removal or drilling (pics are from before I drove them in). In the end I believe you'd need some sort of heavy duty cutting tool (cordless angle grinder) to get the bike. I'm pretty happy with the setup and it will probably be handy as a lock point for other stuff too.

That's a great idea. I use a Kryptonite chain lock that I run through one of the bed D rings, I replaced the stock ones with ones for a Sprinter van. They are beefier that what comes from the factory, plus they move freely which my stock ones didn't do at all, but I always worry someone will just snip the D ring with a bolt cutter. I will have to look into getting one of those ground anchors.

This is the other ground anchor I considered. This includes their fixing kit that has a backing plate and the tamper resistant nuts included. Wasn't sure if the shackle would flop around mounted on the side of the bed. A bit more expensive but a good option if you want a kit that's ready to go out of the box.

Working on getting the Evil Wrekoning review done shortly.
YT Decoy testing finally starting, so that should be done in a bit.

So my weekend consisted of 800 miles driving. Great first time to Windrock MTB, I think we should try to get a group together for spring. Windrock is a place where brakes do not do too much. Super leg workout doing body weight squats all day.

Took i40 from Knoxville to Asheville, very beautiful route.

Kanuga was fun, but very very slick. Also it would’ve been nice to get there early. Only got 3 laps in with @SummitBound before it became a snow storm.

Jeff Kendall weed is such a good rider. I love how he mixes in a little trials type riding at high speeds. The amount of bike control he has is insane

I’m ready for another trip with the group that did Pisgah last year.

    you gotta experience black mountain!

and Bennett’s gap, but they’re basically the same.

    Ok I’m thinking a Baker Creek/Windrock trip.

right now myself and @tweakit88 are available for the last weekend of April into May. So April 30-May 2 is the weekend but I can include April 29 as well. 3 hour drive for me so I can get there after work the first evening.

will lean on @honda50r for camp/food recommendations and hopefully he tags along too. If there is some interest I’ll make a separate trip thread? Let me know!

Hey! Weather around here finally dried up and I got a pic of my bike AND my Taco together...so much better/easier than a hitch rack on my Accord.
