There's a few in my build thread. I started keeping GPX tracks and posting ride summaries in each post.

This one starts out of Helen. Easy 2wd stuff. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hammerhead-the-4x4-dclb-tow-and-trail-rig.671016/#post-23735268

A few later posts later are right near Vogel and 2wd friendly. Lots of good FS roads up there.

I need to break my truck in on some easy, low damage percentage stuff.

Ideally I'd always like to have a low damage percentage, but I don't have a lift. Not sure I'll get one, either.

Same, I wanna take this thing out and get it a little dirty, but also 4x2 and don't have the funds to fix it if something got damaged pretty bad. If you do plan something and want some company, lmk I'd be happy to join in with you on a simple trail that our trucks can survive.

Check out the GA traverse and just skip the Charlie's Creek and Tray Mountain for now!

Charlie's is pretty doable but has continued to get rutted out by Jeep clubs

Cool. I'll also need to get some winch practice in once the bumper comes in and is installed. It was on their IG yesterday, order number clear as day. Maybe shipped this week or early next.

Not necessarily near Helen, but Grassy Gap Rd and Old Bucktown Rd are fun but doable in 2wd without much risk. Grassy Gap has some side trails that are fun as well, although you may need a 4wd buddy to pull you through parts and there is more risk of damage.

I've been doing some research and this grassy gap has my interest. If my truck is ready I'll most likely be checking it out this weekend.

thanks! I’ve planned a route. Richard Russell parkway- Helton Creek- Blood Mountain- Vogel for the night - Wolf Creek-Duncan- Coopers Creek- camp in the WMA- Valley of the Giants- double back to Vogel and South on 19, seeing what I can find based off the FS map.

You don't need one. These trucks are incredibly capable in their stock form.

The safest thing is to not go wheeling. That said, that's the less fun option too.

leg one was a piece of cake. Camped at Vogel after hiking Blood Mtn. Wind and rain all night. Woke to 1/4” of water in the ARB drop down tent. We were on cots and out of the water. Breakfast, packed up, led some folks from Mississippi to Helton Creek the fun way, fording two creeks. They were in a CRV but I told them it was a piece of cake. Headed up Duncan’s Ridge into WMA. Forestry site says the roads were open. After an hour we were seven miles in and came to three gates, all closed. They’re doing a controlled burn this week. We had to turn around and drive back out. Grabbed a hot bite to eat in town and settled into family cabin North of Blairsville for the night. All little bummed we didn’t make our destination, but we’ll return with a solid route planned.

I haven't washed my truck since the above-noted trip. Hoping to get out into something this weekend.

I've been using the truck to build a daycare for a business she wants to open. If I keep this up I'm gonna need a suspension upgrade soon. I did take the family up to brasstown falls in SC this weekend too. They are four really pretty waterfalls in a row if you guys haven't been before.

We're heading up to Lake Jocassee on the SC/NC border this Summer. Pulling the close-to-complete boat project up and heading across the lake to the primitive, boat-in camping at the base of Double Spring mountain for five days/nights.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Love that lake! Spent a lot of time kayaking around there.

My wife has started a landscaping business and has been using my truck a lot. My rear suspension needs to be beefed up as well. Thankfully, i already have the parts that I need. I just need a good weekend to get them installed.

Check out Musterground Road (starts at the trailhead linked) while you are there. A couple of us ran it about a year and a half ago when Horsepasture Road was open to Chestnut Mountain Road. They are all FS roads, but some great views and a couple of "fun" spots.
