I guess auto parts stores selling blades for nearly the same price as refills rather than the over 3 times more that I see is something I have never come across in my meager experience. Perhaps you can direct me to where I can purchase OEM blades for close to $7? I just recently took delivery of my 2021 TRD OR and am looking to stock up on some basic maintenance items. With all of my past vehicles, replacing the inserts only worked beautifully 100% of the time and Arizona summers are really hard on the rubber inserts.

I didn't say 'nearly the same price' I said "not a hell of a lot more". I place value on my time so $32 isn't a hell of a lot to me. I'd rather purchase (2) new blades complete with refills and install knowing the issue will be resolved than risk purchasing just refills and possibly having to de-install, take back to the store or even worst mail back to internet seller to then order complete blades to reinstall.

But anyway, I was just sharing my opinion to possibly helps others benefit from my experience in the auto parts industry. You would not believe how often purchasers would insist on just refills only to return stating their wipers were still doing the same thing. But of course do what you want.

Just did a quick Google search - try:
    https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota__...-Right-Rubber--Wiper/62983787/852140E140.html
Then pick a nearby dealer on the right side of the screen.

A little inconvenient lining up the metal tines but it works. It's going to rain here in CA shortly, time for test.

Yeah I buy the OEM inserts off eBay. They come from a Toyota dealer every time.

Got 3yrs out of my last pair of OEM refills. This thread was a good reminder it’s time for some new ones.

I'll say it again, OEM inserts, get them delivered to your front door from Amazon, easy to swap, its not rocket science. Ive been replacing the rubber inserts since the late 80's, have never had to replace a single blade, only the inserts.

Was looking for a more aggressive swipe so I did the TRD Tundra insert upgrade. Best bang for the buck without going to the beefier sequoia motors. You can really feel the crispness of that click in the fingertips.

I've been using Bosch Icon for a couple years now, they're great in the winter because the beam style doesn't get all stiff from ice like the conventional ones.
I usually get about a year(50,000miles-ish) out of them on my work truck in eastern CO wiping away sand, mud, ice, cow shit and whatever else gets kicked up out there in the oil field. I knoooow it's not a Tacoma, but I thought the picture might give an idea of the shit I put the Icons through out there, oddly enough I took this picture right before I put the Icons on that truck. Once the factory ones on my Tacoma are shot, Icons will be replacing them.

I LOVE Icons! Had them on wifey's Bimmer for 10+ years. Had them on my last 3 vehicles as well.

You had a BMW last more 10 years!? I really do love BMWs, they're great cars...just a little pricey on out of warranty repairs. I actually almost bought an e92 M3 instead of my Tacoma but the rod bearing problems scared me away.
