I plan on changing my speakers, tweeters, and adding a subwoofer.

But should I also change out the stock touchscreen with an aftermarket stereo for better quality? Does an aftermarket radio improve sound at all?

Subbed. I’d love to hear what you went with and results.

I’m in the same boat with my 2015, looking for the most bang-for-the-buck fix of the awful audio.

New radio will sound better, as long as you stick with the big names. Pioneer, kenwood, alpine, etc

Stay away from the cheap ones. Dual, Pyle. PowerAkoustic, etc.

I ended up going with a Kenwood ddx376bt basic touchscreen radio from best buy. And pioneer tsg690 from Crutchfield. Speakers sound great, better than the stock ones for sure. The kenwood radio im actually not a fan of. I wanted a volume knob but the knob is too small and it rubs against the aftermarket faceplate. Also, the knobs don't have any grip so it slips on my fingers. Plus if your fingers are large you'll have a hard time with the knob. I'm debating on returning it.
