Eibach pro truck lift kit Icon 1.5 add a leaf.
I installed the icon 1.5 add a leaf on my truck and decided to leave my overload in.
I am having some bowing problems due to the front side of the leaf spring making contact with the rivet from the icon aal.
I was thinking of just cutting the overload shorter because all I’m really using it for is the extra lift.
Anyone who has left their overload in with this leaf pack please attach pictures and explain if you know a way around this.

Not so sure how easy it'll be to cut, as it's hardened steel. I had to drill some holes in my leafs before (on a different vehicle), and it was a major pain!

You may want to look at purchasing the Headstrong 1/2" lift shim that they sell for their own leaf pack. It's basically exactly what you're looking for - a very short flat metal piece that is the same thickness as the overload spring, but it's only wide enough to be contained within the U bolts and not stick out any further. He's a shot of it installed on my truck, along with the Headstrong 3 leaf AAL. You can see the spacer/shim at the very bottom of the leaf pack.

fyi you might want to put that bolt through the other way, it can rub through the gas tank when you flex

Kinda reviving a old thread but did you ever figure out how to get it not to rub on the rivet? I’m also considering cutting the overloads shorter like you mentioned.
