Press SOS after Safety Connect Expired?

Has any one tried pressing the SOS button after their Safety Connect subscription has expired? What happens? Nothing? Does an Operator come on asking you to renew?

I'm still in the free trial for another 10 months or I would push it. I can't believe the rest of you are too afraid .

 

Well since your a paying customer, press it and ask the person on the other line what happens when you push it after your trial. You can ask what features you will be losing if you dont renew.

Its not like its a direct line to 911, it goes to a call center.

 

Ask them what is the biggest tire you can fit without trimming

 

Just remember they are following you. All the time.

They just don't answer when you don't pay. But they snicker and say 'bet he wishes he'd paid now.

I’ve always wondered what happens if your truck gets stolen when it’s deactivated, would they let you turn it back on to track it? I’m afraid of the answer so have not gone looking but mine just expired and it’s on my mind lately too. The theft recovery was the only bit that ever interested me, don’t think I ever used any of the other features. I have a MT so it was already crippled from the jump.

 

It’s safe from quite a large percentage of people under about 35 so there’s that...

Has anyone gotten an insurance discount for having the safety connect feature? The theft recovery might be interesting if it would also net an insurance discount.

 

I’ve asked my insurance company about things like that and there’s nothing particularly.

I’ve even asked about the dash cam, which in theory the likelihood of getting in a wreck would exceed the odds of getting your car stolen I would think, plus the camera preventing insurance fraud, but they give nothing for that.

 

You can get the remote start and app from a 3rd party which might ease your mind. With the app you want track your vehicle. Apparently it is like having the remote connect with out having to pay the subscription. I am looking at doing this just in case.

While reading about the remote connect, destination assist and service connect I noticed the service connect comes with a 10 year trial. The remote connect and destination assist is still for only a year. Just surprised that the service connect is 10 years.
