From what I hear it is more for off-roading on steep inclines and at longer periods of time. I guess the oil enters into the PCV system and then into cylinders 5 and 6. Oil, unlike gasoline, does not compress (similar to water) and if it gets into your cylinders the pistons will not reach their full extension resulting in hyrdolocking. I know for a fact that others on here know more about it than I and would have better/more accurate information. If you think you'll get into that sort of wheelin' then I would recommend doing some more research and/or searching the forums.

A small bit of pedanticism... Fuel/gas doesn't compress that much either, it's the fuel/air mixture that compresses. Don't fill your cylinders with fuel either, that'd be a bad day.

Like I said, there are others on here that know more about it than I. Thanks for the clarification.

I've looked at that Brite Box mod, but wasn't completely sold on it. How easy was it to install?

I had issues with that too and one of my larger patches i had to move to the carpet on the side of the shift tunnel. It stuck good there.

I'm a week into my Taco. Today I did the grill lights, the sequential mirror lights, added some color on the inside with some liners for the cup holders and other storage places and added the Pug decal on the back. My rottie may feel left out so may have to get a decal for him lol.

    Busy day.

Yeah, my Meso ones had to be put on the carpet by the shifter console. They were also thicker/heavier. The MS flag one is fairly light. So that does make a difference.

My square cupholder liner is also slightly too big. Drives me nuts.

    Edit: same color too

Why do some people pull up the wipers like that?

I used to do it because it's easier to scrape ice off the bottom of the windshield. Also, windshield wiper blades don't work as well when they're covered in ice.

Got a windshield cover so now I don't have to lift my wipers or scrape snow/ice off the windshield!

IMO, it is ok to pull back the wipers occasionally if you expect heavy snow or ice but I don't reccomend doing it regularly. My spouse use to do it on my 2005 Kia Sorento and after 2x winters the wiper springs were wrecked and I had to find some good used ones at the wrecker.
