FOUND 1981 Toyota Truck :)

Just wanted to give everyone in CO a heads up. My 1981 Toyota Truck project vehicle was promptly stolen within a month after me acquiring it. I've posted the truck on reddit here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Denver/comments/l85ij5/my_1981_toyota_truck_was_stolen_in_the_rosedale/

More information: It was stolen around 3:40 AM on 1/29/21 near Broadway & Harvard in Denver (or Englewood if you're the kind of person who cares to make that distinction). The thief was in and out in a few minutes, obviously not hard to steal an '81. It might have WA plates on it (from the previous owner/whoops) C14730P.

I'm particularly gutted because I'm not surprised and was considering removing the ignition coil wire/distributor but obviously I did not. Wasn't able to garage it, not my house, not my rules. Anyway, please keep an eye out and protect your stuff!

 

My eyes are peeled! She is a Beauty, I drive around the metro area for a living and hopefully I spot it.

Hey y'all. Wanted to provide some additional information on this. I received a text this morning from a stranger who saw my STOLEN craigslist ad. He said he saw the vehicle driving last night near E. 72nd and Vasquez in Commerce City around 8PM. Said the stripes were still on it!

 

Wanted to give a quick update here. Based on the craigslist tip we were able to very quickly locate the truck and I have it back in my possession! It was parked outside of a crackhouse in Commerce City. It seems it was being used to haul alleyway junk. The police weren't able to go inside the house but we were able to take all the junk out of it and drive it off. They were using scissors to turn the ignition. Radio and speakers swiped but honestly not a huge loss. Otherwise she's as I left it, save for a few lessons I've learned along the way. Thank you to everyone who took the time to read the post and kept an eye out!
