What’s the biggest tire size you can go without affecting fuel economy or ride quality?

Curious to know what’s the biggest tire size and most offset poke you can do without affecting ride quality or fuel economy. Any thoughts? Recommendations?

Yeah I but I kinda meant other than stock because the 3rd gen tacoma looks better with bigger tires. Thanks anyway.

I agree. I mean if you stay stock size and get some aggressive looking tire like general grabber in SL range, dont think there will be much drop in mpg.

If you want more poke , install some spidertax spacers. My buddy did in on his 17 sport and looks way better.

Bigger tires in the back and smaller in the front will improve mpg since you will going down hill.

FWIW. Im running 265/70/17 Load C Bfg ko2s, i get better or advertised fuel economy. Im usually 90% city. I do drive smart though, no jack rabbits starts, coast to red lights and take advantage of DFCO whenever i can. Im not a grandma driver by any means but my truck sees 5-6k rpm once or twice almost everytime i drive. Of course these tires ride a bit rougher over stock, i dont mind as i like the "truck" feel.

On the highway the mpgs start sucking at any speed above about 70 in my manual taco, doesnt matter the tires.
