Behind The Grill Mount For Big Round’s

The flip/swap sides and remount in factory ground/mount holes works perfectly here. Even without bending of the brackets they don’t kiss the rad.

 

I looked briefly at replacing the horns with lower profile Bosch sharptones or similar, I think you would not even need to invert horn mounts. But then my truck would sound like a Subaru.

Flip/swap sides is the way to go.

 

I don’t know why people replace the stock horns with the awful things! Meeeep meeeeeep!

 

Especially when there are so many other good options!

 

Anyone know what size light bar will fit in this mount?

 

As in you want to put an LED bar someplace behind there? You really have most of the behind the grill area to work with in terms on length.

 

Yes, found it from SDHQ with the 10” adapter. It allows two 30 inch bars.

Could I put two 6inch round lights where the 10inch bars would fit? Not many options for amber 10inch bars.

I put two LP9 Pros in amber and with some minor tweaks they fit without issue. I don’t recall the diameter of the LP9’s but they are monsters. If they fit you can pretty much fit anything.

 

Are you using the SDHQ light bar mount?

 

I just used the BAMF bracket which can be used with all types of mounts for lights. It gives so many options and it’s built like a tank.

 

Do they have a bracket to go between those mounts? Looks like it’s just two that bolt on the ends of a light bar.

 

I think you would have better options with a one piece design. Look at the pics on the below link. Lightbar and individual rounds are installed no problem.

This is the one I have. Plenty of adjustment on it. Not sure on the thickness but I have 6” round lights on mine.

 

Should have looked to see what year you’re truck is. Mine is a 2011 with a homer satoshi (hope I spelled that correct) grill
