Would you honor my warranty claim?

If I made a claim for this extension reel, would you honor it?

What caused the failure?

 

It did not retract proper
When did you buy it and where did you get it from?

I'm putting it back into service since it passed the dummy check.

 

It has a circuit breaker built in for protection, it obviously didn't do it's job no matter what you did with it.

 

I RMA'd it myself and it's back in service! "Refurbished"

 

So it’s good for 220V now?

I’m confused. It broke so you wanted to warranty it. Members said probably not gonna happen but worth a try. You say because they said they would is the reason you fixed it yourself and are using it again? I think maybe I missed something.

It was a test to see if what I did to fix it passes the eyeball test. It obviously does. So I'm sorry that was confusing.

 

Probably came out of the same Shanghai Machinery gulag camp as the 220V model.

 

I wouldn't doubt it. The resettable breaker basically arced out after it popped. It's just a super sketchy bimetal strip and a contact pad connecting the two spade terminals. Cheap AF
