My vent fan stopped working a few weeks ago, and then came back on magically. Last week it stopped working (all 4 speeds) and never came back on. After some research and a recommendation from a previous Ford owner, I hit the vent fan housing a few times with a rubber mallet...and it works now. But, I'm expecting it to die again and would just like to fix it. Anyone have experience with this? Is it a resistor? The whole motor? Something else? Thanks in advance.

    Stock. EZ pass.Dump pass.Inspection sticker.Convict printed lic.plates.FG cap.
Replacement motor with fan attached is like $50 on eBay.
Easy replacement 3 screws and 1 electrical connection.

Just replaced one of mine about three weeks ago. As stated above, no more than 20 minute job.

While you have the motor out, take a look up inside the housing. There is a foam filter that may need cleaning. You may have to use a mirror if your not able to lay on your back and slide your head up in under there. Be gentle, as the foam is likely brittle.

I gotta say I am on the bigger side for me to change that The Door and the Seat need to be removed .

the blower motor was the easy part of the job I also put in a new Blower Motor resistor if not it would fail in a short time.

yes, do the resistor with the fan blower. they get fragile after ise and are easy to bump while replacing the fan
