Have a sound I need help IDing from my 2015 Sequoia Platinum. Around 85k miles, 4x4. Just picked it up this past weekend so I don't know the history, haven't even gotten a chance to get under there and look. The sound seems to only occur at about 50mph or more, and it gets louder as I increase speed. I haven't tested engaging 4wd or not, that'll be my next thing.

I've posted this elsewhere and the one guess that keeps popping up is the head shield being loose and rattling.

    Thanks for the help.

No impact to performance, and not related to road surface, correct?

Next is rpm that might cause vibration. Do you reach the same rpm in lower gears as you do when you reach 50mph? If you don't have a tachommeter, you might just try putting the shifter in a lower gear and accelerate until you are sure you have reached at least the rpms you have at 50mph in Drive.

If rpm is eliminated, we are down to increased air flow at that speed maybe causing something flap/vibrate against something else. Could be fender liner, under cover, brake dust shield, exhaust heat shield.
