Do you know how much the software is running?

 

I'm order to use the cable you need to buy vFtuner ($199) and a Tunepack ($390) the cable alone cost around $170,- new.

 

depending on your ecu there are many posted on a certain 3rd gen thread for free - but .vft is changing the fee structure for VIN / ECU / Flash. Might be able to save some serious cash if your ecu tune is posted for download and wait for .vft to release Performance Tunes as apposed to 2.0 base tunes that are in the Tune Pack. GL to OP with sale. The Tune is way better than OEM calibration.

 

I ran the tune on my other truck. I liked it. No complaints there. I dunno what the thing is worth. Just trying to unload it to someone else with more patients. I plan to move to the SC instead.

 

Won't you still need the cable to load the tune for the SC, or are you having a shop take care of it?

 

A shop will do it.

 

Is this for just the cable or cable and software key? I understand it won't have the OV tune premade (need to get from VF separate).

How would accessing the software work after receiving a used cable? From my understanding you needed to contact VF and have them activate for you
