This was the saving grace to me leaving notes on sports around town with hood scoops offering cash and my hood in exchange haha

The hood scoops have no love for solar! Unfortunately there just isn't enough available flat space on the hood scooped hoods to fit a solar panel large enough to provide charge to a 12v battery.

As @medicfung said, there are tons of people out there willing to trade + $$ for a fake hood scoop. Find a trade and make some use out of your hood! :D

I’m on the fence. If the group buy nears 20 participants I may jump in.

I am likely in for a 2nd Gen.

I have a question about connections.

I am running a Redarc 1225D that can handle solar directly, for an unregulated solar panel, for my spare battery.

However, I want to use this on my primary battery (so I no longer need to trickle charge, I have always disconnected my Redarc when I do it and it’s a pain). I know I will need the solar regulator for that, but my question is...

Will this impact the Redarc if I connect it to my primary battery?

What type of panels are they? (Monocrystalline or Polycrystalline)
I’d there s place I can see the specs on the panels?

If you’ve ever had a battery go dead while camping then you’ll see this as a necessity

You should be fine to hook our system up to the main battery (using our charge controller) then charging the Redarc via the 12v outlet in the vehicle.

The cells we use are monocrystalline. You can find spec's under the "Specifications" tab on the webpage.
