Trade 2004 Toyota Tundra DC4x4 for Tacoma DCMT

Hey guys
So I’m considering getting rid of my 1st gen tundra. I think I’m second owner. Bought it a few months back and l have maybe 1500 miles put on it since(3rd car). It’s at 183k.

I’m hoping to trade for a 2005-15 Tacoma DC MT 4x4

I’m hoping to get a lower mileage Tacoma and have it in garage and use it sparingly. Then give it to my son when he’s 16(in 6 years).

I love the leg room and 6ft bed in the tundra. They’re hard to come by and expensive in SoCal.

If your truck is newer, I’ll have to get a loan for difference in value.

So I’m pretty sure that Sacramento, being the grifters that they are, do not allow a tax break in case of a trade in when buying another car (from a dealer). How does this work when you trade with another private party outright and no money is exchanged? I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if they tax you based on NADA value when you try and register it in your name...

 

I know your looking for DC with manual Transmission but I’m selling my DCLB in search for a bigger truck. Let me know if you’re interested in trading.

 

This is rather tempting! I love my taco and have really invested and maintained it for the long hall but the 1st gen tundras are really nice.
