I have a 2015 Tacoma with 17inch steel rims. What’s the term used for the center cap between the lugs. I’m trying to purchase some any i’m having a hard time finding them.

The black center cap in the top picture? That’s the dust/grease cap for the front axle, not part of the wheel. upload_2021-2-6_0-15-25.jpg

Unfortunately you'll have a hard time finding any Toyota steel wheel centre caps to fit that style wheel. Yours have a smooth hub bore (as do my winter rims). Steel Toyota wheels that take centre caps have notches around the hub bore between the bolts that allow the clips on the caps to fasten through. My Tundra steel winter wheels have them and perhaps some of the older Tacomas and FJ's.
If you find a way, please post 'em. I've been looking for a while.

    Cheers.

Buy 2 additional dust covers and mount them on your rears. You’ll have to cut a little notch and jb weld in place but it will look sleek and uniform front to back.

my old truck. You can see I added the “dust covers/caps” to the rears.
