I did the same with mine, plasti dip is such an easy mod that helps get rid of the chrome. I'm itching for a pro grille now, just trying to find a reliable place to buy one.

Looks great! Did you remove the emblem from the grille or spray while on?

Yeah I had a Ford excursion V10 at that time. The 10 stands for mpg on a good day. It sat in the garage a lot.

added extra tie downs in bed, the tool-less 32oz cupholder mod, fog lights in process...
Thanks! Removed it. Was going to tape it off and leave on until I realized how quick and easy it was to get off. Much easier imo. Just taped off the tiny clips so I could put it back on easily.

Those are actually the factory chrome vent rings. Removed, sanded with fine grit sandpaper and very fine steel wool. Cleaned to remove any dust and finger/hand oils. Applied 3 light coats of Chevy orange engine spray paint. Replaced rings and used a soldering iron to secure them from behind using a light plastic.

And this is why I love MESO. I value my time... Also I have a reasonable understanding of what I'm good at, and detailed finishing work like this are not it ;)

little bit of here and a little bit of that...
yes, the middle black connector on the JBL amp, I used “posi taps” to tap into the LEFT rear speakers. The white is positive, and the black wire is negative, (please double check before splicing!) I did mono so I just tapped both positive-and negative wires from my amp harness (high powered) into the left rear. The wires above the left rear speakers are the RIGHT rear speakers, pink with green stripe? I have the wire diagram on my computer for the jbl amp. The blue turn on wire I routed it to the front of my vehicle driver side and posi tapped it to an existing custom camera battery charging wire, or you can- (just connect to a accessorie wire that turns off and on when you start/off your vehicle. Cigarette lighter e.t.c.) the ground wire, i routed to the passenger side panel on the bottom and connected there. I would like to update that the JBL Basspro Nano Does NOT fit under the seat, so I will have to figure out the location for it. If you want more information about the factory jbl amp wiring, I could send a photo to you later.

If not for @MESO step by step instruction video on vent ring removal, I too would not have tackled this.

It's a USB-LED light that lights up the tray at night... I've since flipped the light to shine down. Super helpful when fumbling for a fob.

I’m thinking of getting these off eBay cause my passenger side stock lights cracked. How is the quality vs oem and bulb fitment ?
