just in case you don't get any other responses. if you got a set of metric combo and socket wrenches, floor jack and jack stands, switching shocks shouldn't be a big deal. there's a bunch of guys that can do quick and honest but cheap is relative. asking someone to give up one of their weekend days probably in the 200 range. I'm just guessing. might be different if there's guys not working. hopefully someone with free time can help you out

Ever heard that saying about cheap/fast/good and only choosing 2?

Cheapest place is YOUR OWN garage with your own hands.

Any shop will be charging standard labor rates, cost of the shocks (if you buy there) and tax.

Many shops won't install parts the owner brings. Liability and profit reasons. Plus, if the parts don't fit.........

    Aloha-
You are right, I found a few guys that charge 275 to 300 for the job which is good enough for me. Thank you for your help!

Yup your right, that’s why I’m avoiding shops. they have too many tactics. I found a guy if anyone needs him on Oahu.

No thanks for your advice to spend more!
I found someone who did it for-
    250 total.
Instead of over 300 an hour.
My truck is not having brain surgery.. so I think 100 and hour to a local mechanic is better then dumping my wallet into a con artist pocket. Shoots

I'm not savvy on HI labor price......but $100/hr seems stiff.

For $300, I can do the work myself. If tools are needed, then I've got about $300 in my pocket to use.

Your truck, your cash, your choice.
