Leaking from both these points. Still trying to find out if there’s other points. What should I do? What parts need to be replaced? Thank you.

In the off chance that you're serious...

    That's not your T-case...

It's your front diff, It's breather is on the drivers side probably under water in those pictures and is either plugged or sucked in water and your front diff is equalizing pressure.

I highly recommend you drain and refill your diffs with fluid especially if you haven't extended the rear breather.

No worries Friday is the, uh, Troll Post, day and there's been some stragglers posting it would seem.

With how set up your truck is I assumed you knew a good bit about what you were doing, I take it you had those mods installed rather than DIY then? No worries, nothing wrong with that.

So yeah the above holds true, check/change your breathers and your differential fluids you've probably got a good bit of water in them and water makes for a terrible lubricant.

Extend your breathers if you haven't already.

Possibly drain and fill your trans and your actually T case (transfer case) that is attached to back of the transmission. The front and rear drive shafts come out of your transfer case.

What you pictured if the drivers side of the front diff and inner CV axle stub.

Surprisingly I did everything myself. I usually get on here and see what y’all are doing for ideas then learn how to do it on YouTube.

I extended the rear diff. So should I just replace oil on t case and front diff?

Oh well right on, you should be some what familiar then.

In the very least I would still definitely pull the fill plugs and see if your oil is foamy and light brown sludgy like obvious indication of water ingress and pull the breathers and see if you can blow through them and see if they still stop if you try to suck through them.

if you can't blow through them, or if you can suck through them, then they need to be replaced.

IMHO I would probably just change the fluid anyway, cheap insurance against having to replace your diffs.

    And remember Tacoma's can't swim.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll do all of that. No more water crossing for me.

Water crossing is okay IF you don't get stopped or stuck in it and so long as your breathers are high above the waterline, your seals are good and you maintain a bow wake.

Swimming your truck or sitting in water stuck for any length of time is not so much good. As things cool and constant and consistent water pressure sits against things more water than can be effectively vaporized off while driving from heat starts to creep into things not meant for water.

    Nice rig by the way.

I've been in a similar position to the one yours is pictured, fortunately I was with a group and was out of it in under 5 minutes.

    How long were you stuck?

Have you pulled the interior trims and lifted and dried out the carpet? Last thing you want is swampy mold smell to take hold.

I sucked over 5 gallons of swamp out of mine, took a whole weekend with carpet fans under the carpet to dry everything out.

I put one of those big tub style desiccant buckets in there too for a month.

    No smell no mold.

    Looks like a good time!

Yeah you probably would have been fine had you not gotten stuck so long as you weren't doing multiple back to back passes, still, as much fun as it is deep water should be avoided when possible.

    Happy trails!

The red circle is around the driver's side cv/axle shaft seal and the blue is around the drain plug. The seal is a $5 part in the US, should be easy to find most anywhere. If you diy replace it make sure to get a couple extra and use a properly sized seal driver to install the new one. They are easily damaged upon installation if they don't start going in straight and once they are slightly misshapen they will probably leak.

Thanks for the info. Do you know the part number for that seal?

90311-47027 should be the part number, just verify when looking it up. The genuine Toyota part might be more than $5. I bought two aftermarket seals from the parts store and compared them to a new Toyota seal and could not see any difference, quality or otherwise.

Just because you have $20k worth of parts strapped on and a million lumens in lights turned on in the daylight doesn't mean you know what you're doing. You just look good at the mall.

Diff oil is cheap. If you break into the diff, just change it.

The front diff vent is in the front ADD actuator and runs up behind the engine. Check this out CAREFULLY. Make sure there are no cracks, breaks, splits and that it is free of clogs.

If any water got in the diff, you MUST pull that actuator to get it all cleaned out. Much easier to do now than after it corrodes the actuator.

More than likely your diff will be toast if you drove it around with water. It only takes a short distance to cause excessive wear, requiring a rebuild and specialized tools.

I got water in both my Jeep's front and rear diffs when my breather hoses popped off, and even after a few flushes the bearings were toast. Rebuilding a differential isn't really a DIY project, so it gets pricey. Watch out for ANY noises. In my case, it sounded like nails on a chalkboard throughout my entire neighborhood :(

If the noise occurs when the Taco is moving your diff bearings are probably toast. If so, a fluid flush will not help, fingers crossed.
